Mar 13, 2026

1. Introduction

This manual provides key safety, operation and maintenance guidelines for electric underfloor heating cables (heating cables). Follow these instructions to avoid fire, electric shock or damage to the heating cable. The heating cable is only for underfloor heating use.

2. Important Safety Warnings

  • Electric Shock Hazard: Disconnect power before installing, inspecting or maintaining the heating cable. Only qualified electricians (familiar with local codes) perform electrical work related to the heating cable.
  • Fire Hazard: Do not overlap, cross or touch the cable. Do not install over combustibles or in high-load areas unless designed for it.
  • No Modification: Do not cut, shorten or modify the cable. Damaged cables must be repaired/replaced by professionals.
  • Moisture Protection: Keep the cable and components dry. For wet areas, ensure proper IP rating and waterproof measures.
  • Thermostat Requirement: Use a dedicated underfloor heating thermostat (max 35°C) and a 30mA RCD for safety.

3. Pre-Installation Safety Guidelines

3.1 Inspection Before Installation

  • Check the heating cable, cold tails and accessories for damage. If the heating cable is damaged, contact the manufacturer immediately.
  • Ensure the heating cable’s model and specifications match design requirements and record the heating cable’s resistance value.
  • Check subfloor compatibility; max 100 W/m² for wooden subfloors.
